Vado Port System, also known as Vado Gateway, is made up of two well integrated terminals: Reefer Terminal and its new semi-automated container terminal.

We offer
We are looking for an HR Intern who will assist the People Business Partner with managing daily HR tasks by supporting administrative duties, maintaining employee records and HR systems, and ensuring smooth coordination of HR activities. In this role you will provide valuable backup to the People Business Partner, helping to ensure efficient handling of HR processes and accurate data management.
In this role, you will receive training on key HR processes, equipping you to take responsibility for:
1. Assisting People Business Partner with timely implementation of policies, maintaining organization charts, and updating internal job descriptions;
2. Supporting local recruitment processes by coordinating interviews, managing applicant communication, tracking progress, and ensuring job descriptions are up-to-date;
3. Managing mandatory training schedules, handling training class organization and feedback, and assisting with training calendar activities;
4. Helping conduct engagement surveys, supporting the requested guidance on HR queries, supporting the performance and disciplinary processes, and providing guidance on HR systems.
5. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of contracts, induction, payroll setup, termination benefits, and system removals;
6. Maintaining secure, up-to-date employee records, preparing service-related letters, handling queries, updating compensation records, and assisting with Workday database management.
Who you are
7. Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
8. Italian and English at proficient level.
9. 1-2 years of general HR experience, with basic knowledge of employment law.
10. Excellent communication and strong organizational skills.
11. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
12. Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment and managing pressure.
13. Resourceful, self-motivated, eager to learn, and reliable with strong initiative.
14. Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.
15. Experience using HR systems is an advantage.
16. Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
17. Energetic, focused, and target oriented.
Location: The position is placed in Vado Ligure, Italy. No relocation of visa support provided for this role.
