Responsabilities:
1. Knows and has experience with emission calibration for different legislation.
2. Knowledge of the use of a powertrain test bed in order to optimize the performance.
3. knows any part, systems of engine aftertreatment system.
4. has a basic understanding of chemical thermodynamics.
5. knows influence on calibration and development process.
6. Overview of current world-wide legislation.
7. Test cycles and their impact on the calibration, homologation procedure.
8. Knows and has experience with cold start calibration down to-30°C, emission start (gasoline), hot start, warm-up and re-start calibration, start-stop functionality and calibration, spark souling and procedure (gasoline).
9. Knowledge about daily workflow for calibration engineers including planning calibration work, planning of measurements and preparation of all kinds of tests for specific calibration tasks.
10. Knowledge about interface calibration: TCU-ECU, xCU Interface (torque control, speed control, torque demand types).
11. Knowledge about interface calibration: xCU communication within a hybrid powertrain (different interfaces between battery, electric motor, transmission, combustion engine).
12. Knowledge about interface calibration concerning function, transmission rate and signal accuracy (torque, speed).
13. Knowledge about interface calibration and development tools: CANalyzer incl. CAPL, CONCERT, CRETE, DIAGRAM, ETAS Test Equipment, Indicom, MOVE, PUMA.
Profile:
14. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
15. Proven experience in the automotive sector.
16. In-depth knowledge of regulations related to the automotive world.
17. Expertise in using: FTIR, PEMS, APC, MSS, DYNO.
18. Excellent communication skills.
19. Results orientation and problem-solving skills.
