We are currently seeking an Operations Project Mgmt. Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tognana, Italy.
The Global Logistics Program
Manager leads the multi‑year redesign and implementation of the company’s global logistics network, driving large‑scale transformation initiatives to optimize delivery speed, cost, quality, and environmental sustainability across international operations. This role manages a portfolio of complex projects, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and ensures alignment with long‑term business objectives and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, launch, and oversee the global logistics network redesign program, spanning multiple years and geographies, to enable new capabilities, cost efficiency, and scalable growth.
Design program frameworks and roadmaps to evaluate trade‑offs (quality, speed, cost, carbon intensity) and translate strategic direction into actionable project plans.
Lead global teams and stakeholders in reviewing, designing, and executing network changes (new sites, modes, suppliers, automation) to support business growth and transformation goals.
Facilitate program governance, establishing clear objectives, project controls, and risk management processes for each work stream.
Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration (Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, IT, Procurement, Sales) at global and regional levels for seamless program execution.
Oversee data‑driven network analysis to identify and address recurring problems, optimize delivery quality, and implement automation or digital solutions where feasible.
Monitor program progress using KPIs and dashboard reporting, providing transparent communication to stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure adherence to timeline, cost, and compliance requirements, proactively managing risks and dependencies.
Drive continuous improvement, benchmarking industry best practices and technologies for logistics network design.
Guide cultural change, support knowledge transfer, and foster innovation within the logistics community.
Requirements
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in global logistics, network design, or large‑scale supply chain transformation.
Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi‑year programs with global scope and business impact.
Advanced expertise in program management (certification preferred); strong ability to develop program governance, controls, and reporting.
Experience with data analysis, logistics modeling, and digital solutions (automation, AI, optimization tools).
Superior communication and leadership skills, able to influence and collaborate across geographies and functions.
Fluency in English required, other languages highly advantageous.
