Metrology Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities
The measurement of reference samples is essential for ensuring the accuracy of measurements performed by Marposs products. The candidate will report directly to the LAT-accredited Metrology Laboratory Manager and will perform coordinate measurements using high-precision instrumentation, evaluating the results.
Profile
Requirements include a high school diploma in mechanics or an equivalent qualification, along with excellent knowledge of technical drawing in GPS (ISO 14638) / GD&T (ASME Y14.5M). Training in laboratory equipment use, particularly CMM programming software, will be provided. The ideal candidate should have curiosity, passion, a desire to learn, and aptitude for using complex information technology tools. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a confined environment, even during extended hours, in close contact with the team are important. Experience with Leitz machines (Quindos software) is advantageous. Additional qualifications include knowledge of Taylor Hobson roundness and roughness gauges, familiarity with CREO and AutoCAD, and previous experience in gear measurement or construction.
