Ph3Position Summary /h3 pThe Superintendent at Costello Construction is responsible for the overall on-site management of commercial construction projects from inception through final completion. This role leads all field operations, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in strict accordance with contract documents. /p pThe Superintendent serves as the primary liaison between the field and office, driving coordination, communication, and accountability across all trades and project stakeholders. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Field Leadership Project Execution /h3 ul liOversee all on-site construction activities and ensure continuous supervision of work. /li liEnforce project schedule and coordinate daily field operations to maintain progress. /li liMaintain a thorough understanding of contract documents and ensure all work complies. /li liProactively identify and communicate delays, conflicts, or budget impacts to the Project Manager. /li liManage trade foremen and subcontractors to ensure productivity, quality, and accountability. /li liAssist in the scheduling and coordination of Costello Construction’s self‑performed work, including manpower and equipment allocation, procurement and provision of materials, and assistance in quality control. /li /ul h3Scheduling Planning /h3 ul liImplement and actively manage the project CPM schedule in the field. /li liPrepare and distribute detailed two‑week look‑ahead schedules. /li liParticipate in schedule updates and understand sequencing, durations, and critical path. /li liDevelop and execute site logistics and staging plans to prevent conflicts and delays. /li /ul h3Site Mobilization Logistics /h3 ul liCoordinate all mobilization activities including: ul liPre‑construction site documentation (photos/video). /li liField office set‑up (trailers, utilities, equipment). /li liSurvey coordination and site verification. /li liTemporary facilities (sanitary, dumpsters, etc.). /li /ul /li liEnsure proper traffic control plans are developed and implemented when required. /li /ul h3Documentation Project Controls /h3 ul liMaintain complete and organized on‑site project files in accordance with company standards. /li liManage and track all field documentation, including: ul liRFIs, submittals, transmittals, and change orders. /li liDaily reports and subcontractor reports. /li liInspection logs and permit tracking. /li /ul /li liMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date as‑built drawings (daily updates required). /li liThoroughly document project progress with weekly photos and/or video. /li /ul h3Quality Control /h3 ul liEnsure all work meets or exceeds contract documents and quality standards. /li liLead pre‑installation meetings to confirm scope, specifications, and manufacturer requirements. /li liOversee mock‑ups and sample installations to avoid rework or delays. /li liAssume quality control responsibilities when a dedicated Quality Control Manager is not assigned. /li /ul h3Safety Management /h3 ul liMaintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times. /li liEnforce all company and regulatory safety standards. /li liConduct and document weekly toolbox talks. /li liParticipate in safety inspections and immediately address any issues. /li liEnsure subcontractor compliance with all safety requirements. /li /ul h3Inspections, Permits Compliance /h3 ul liSchedule and coordinate all required inspections. /li liEnsure all permits are in place prior to work. /li liMaintain inspection records and documentation on site. /li liObtain Certificates of Occupancy in a timely manner. /li liEnsure compliance with environmental and erosion sediment control requirements. /li /ul h3Subcontractor Trade Coordination /h3 ul liUnderstand and enforce all subcontractor scopes of work. /li liCoordinate trades to prevent conflicts and ensure workflow efficiency. /li liAssist with coordination of Costello Construction’s self‑performed work. /li liLead weekly subcontractor coordination and safety meetings, including: ul liProgress review. /li liUpcoming work planning. /li liIssue resolution and coordination challenges. /li /ul /li liEnsure subcontractors submit complete and accurate daily reports. /li /ul h3Project Closeout /h3 ul liLead punch list development and completion (internal and official). /li liCoordinate final inspections and approvals. /li liAssist in preparation and delivery of closeout documents, including: ul liAs‑builts. /li liOM manuals. /li liWarranties and permits. /li /ul /li /ul h3Equipment Site Management /h3 ul liOversee all company equipment on‑site, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and return. /li liMaintain site security and ensure the project is secured daily. /li liEnforce jobsite cleanliness and subcontractor cleanup responsibilities. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liOSHA 30 Certification (required;
