Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.
We are now looking for a
Value Stream Manager, Component Maintenance
In this role you will manage and develop the aircraft component maintenance production ensuring high-quality, safe and productive environment through set KPIs and other metrics. You will contribute on, and promote, continuous improvement as well as daily management practices as you lead the team of professionals. Maintenance customer communications and related service development will be part of the role. You will also participate the overall development and decision making of the Component Maintenance business area as part of the management team.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and develop the end-to-end process to achieve cost efficiency and high turn-around-time performance on component maintenance production.
Ensure the overall resourcing of the production staff.
Follow and monitor key performance indicators in alignment with department goals.
Follow and control the compliance with approved procedures and aviation authority requirements.
Ensure that health, safety and environmental regulations are met.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you’ll have:
Good management skills with several years of leader experience to effectively lead and direct people.
Good understanding on cost structures and capability to work towards efficiency targets.
Good coordination skills.
Applicable experience on maintenance and/or engineering environment.

knowledge on aviation legislation, quality systems and processes
knowledge on LEAN methodology
You should also have strong teamwork and out-of-the-box thinking skills with ability to adopt new technology.
