UlliWe are currently recruiting for one Engineering System Piping Specialist or Senior Specialist to join our team, part of the Global technical support office in Lloyd's Register's marine. /liliIn Trieste, technical support Office is recognised as a Centre of Expertise for passenger ships and yachts. /liliThe well-established and friendly team include internationally renowned technical experts in many engineering disciplines who work together with our colleagues around the globe to provide the highest standards of guidance to our clients and maritime organisations, helping to protect lives, livelihoods and the environment at sea. /li /ulpstrongWhat we offer you /strong /pulliThe opportunity to work for an organization that has a strong sense of purpose is value driven and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes. /li /ulpstrongThe role /strong /pulliTo perform approvals of ship arrangements and issuance of certification in compliance with the relevant statutory instruments and Lloyd’s Register Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships. /liliTo support the quality and growth of Lloyd’s Register’s marine business globally by providing technical advice and support to clients. /liliTo discuss/ present design appraisal conclusions with external clients and suggest/ influence alternative solutions where appropriate. /li /ulpstrongWhat you bring /strong /pulliBachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Naval Architect or an equivalent degree A degree from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme. /liliKnowledgeable of the marine environment up to about 10 years’ experience. /liliKnowledge of engineering systems (e.g piping machinery, etc) and capacity of handling technical complex issues. /liliIt will be required to quickly become a proficient user of LR management tools such as SAP Business By Design and Digital Work Bench. /liliFamiliar with basic risk assessment techniques and project management /liliGood customer relationship in a project environment with and stakeholder management skills /liliProficient in English and Italian language /li /ulpstrongPreferred but not required /strong /ppExperience of Design or plan Appraisal/design support or site survey of Engineering systems: /pulliMachinery, (Power propulsion and Generation, winches, steering, etc) /liliPiping System /liliEnvironmental: (Emissions Abatement, ballast water, Marpol in general) /liliCryogenic e.g. LNG/Gas propulsion preferably for passenger ships, RORO ferries and yachts /li /ulpstrongYou are someone who: /strong /pulliIs keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs /liliCan self-manage and prioritize tasks towards achieving goals. /liliIs effective at solving problems, troubleshooting and making timely decisions /liliIs flexible and eager to take initiatives. /liliCommunicates in a structured way and has the ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language. /liliDisplays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment. /liliResponds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of your own comfort zone. /li /ulpIf you share our vision for safety and sustainability, we want to hear from you. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
