Technical Consultant (TAM) - Amazon Web Services, Korea

As a TAM, you will help craft and execute strategies to enable large-enterprise customers in ICT, manufacturing, transportation, energy industries, etc. to adopt and utilize various AWS services, including EC2, RDS, ECS/EKS, GenAI, Security/Governance and much more. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs and risk management. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical direction to help plan and build solutions using standard methodologies, and enthusiastically keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will empower you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS.

Responsibilities

- Provide field support to resolve inquiries from Enterprise customers regarding AWS service or Cloud.

- Complete analysis and present periodic reviews of operational performance to customer.

- Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed prelaunch planning.

- Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity.

- Foster trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.

- Lead technical discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.

- Work directly with AWS global engineering and service teams to resolve customer issues.

- 사고/장애, 트레이드 오프 및 리스크 관리와 관련하여 시니어 리더십과 기술적 논의를 주도.

- AWS 글로벌 엔지니어링 및 서비스 팀과 직접 협력하여 고객 이슈 해결.

About the team

The role is within the Korea Enterprise Support team. Enterprise Support team is one of the fastest-growing organizations within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and help customers of all industries and sizes gain the best value and service from AWS. AWS Enterprise Support team is looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our customers’ innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Data Analytics, Application-level services, Networking, Serverless and more. This is not a sales role, but rather an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to large enterprises that are beginning or in the middle of their digital transformation journey.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in Cloud-based IT system architecting, implementation, operations, and consulting, with a focus on distributed applications.

- Experience working for enterprise IT companies or with mission-critical enterprise business customers.

- Candidates must have business communication skills in Korean.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with operating and troubleshooting in at least three of the following areas: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or application development in a distributed systems environment.

- Fluent business communication skills in English.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience.
