Global Transportation Product Lead EngineerPosition located in Limerick, Ireland. The Global Transportation Product Lead Engineer will lead the implementation, support, and evolution of transportation technology solutions as part of J&J supply‑chain processes. The role involves technical leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of transportation applications.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for overall Engineering and Technology architecture definition, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Transportation Product Owner, Product Group Engineer and BU Architect.Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Transportation Product strategy/vision.Lead the implementation of transportation processes.Onboard various transportation carriers towards our systems.Interact with development and support teams.Gather and translate requirements from carriers to define, design and develop solutions that meet business requirements.Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of solutions), test concepts/solutions with users and document, recommend and present systems enhancements and alternatives.Drive continuous improvement activities: Lead root‑cause analysis of major incidents, provide solutions that increase system availability and customer satisfaction.Work on Agile methodologies to configure solutions such as SAP and related technologies and test development/customizations.Observe technology trends across the industry and conduct research spikes for new capability and innovation opportunities.Serve as the single point of contact for ISRM, TQ (Q‑CSV), vendors, and enterprise platform owners.Minimum RequirementsTypically requires 6+ years of relevant experience.Critical SkillsFunctional background in transportation processesKnowledge of supply‑chain processesStrong communication at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to work with both business users and technical stakeholders (including high‑level understanding of ABAP code)Extensive experience in Agile Development, team creation, leadership, product/platform standards, governance processes, and change managementExperience gathering requirements and translating them into a product/platform vision through deep expertise in development, engineering, and UXExperience leading the selection, build, and integration of platforms including data management, API architecture/design, and Cloud‑Native technologiesExperience owning products/platforms over their lifecycle in a multi‑team/channel contextUnderstanding of processes and procedures associated with enterprise applicationsCommitment to Our Credo, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion by ensuring talent reflects the communities we servePreferred SkillsExperience with SAP S/4, SAP S/4 eWM, .Net, SQL, and REST APIUnderstanding of Distribution Center operationsExperience working in an Agile environment using JiraExperience with transportation (XPS from SCT, SAP TMS) and warehouse (SAP eWM) solutions including configuration of those solutionsWorking knowledge of .NetEducationMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.Pay RangeIn Limerick, Ireland: €63,300.00 – €101,315.00In Belgium: EUR 72,500 – 115,230In Spain: EUR 55,400 – 87,860In Portugal: EUR 42,100 – 67,505In Italy: EUR 48,600 – 77,395BenefitsIn addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits: an annual premio with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade/location based on performance, sales commissions, vacation days, parental leave for a minimum of 12 weeks, bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well‑being reimbursement, programs for financial, physical and mental health, service anniversary and recognition awards, and certain insurance plans for employees and eligible dependents.
