The Air Gateway Agent is responsible to ensure that these policies are adhered to at all times.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Air Gateway agent will process and close MAWB for consolidations and back to back AWB’s.Ensure that file contains all necessary documents and copies are in proper sequence.To do what it takes to meet and exceed Internal and External customers’ defined needs and expectations.Book space with carriers.Ensure all MAWBs are rated correctly.Obtain spot codes on all special negotiated rates with carriersEnter spot rates and codes in C1.Track AWB and provide COB information to the respective branches.Research on all CCA, weight and rate discrepancies sent by carriers.Filing of files.Perform other duties as needed or requested.QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent communication skills.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.Able to perform the essential duties of this position without posing a “direct threat” to the health or safety of self or others.Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma requiredCollege degree or equivalent experience preferredFluent EnglishJAS is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, disability, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, sexual orientation, age or any other characteristic protected by law.
