POSITION SUMMARYThe Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. This position will be based in Bologna as assigned staff, at Marconi Airport.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and regulatory requirementsRemove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install of replacement parts and testing aircraft systemOperate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignmentsComplete all required maintenance records in an accurate manner to include accurately reporting of times required to accomplish the tasks assignedInterpret technical manuals and drawingsEnsure that required works are carried out in accordance with applicable organizational procedures and maintenance data, ascertaining that there are no non-compliances which are known to endanger flight safetyEnsure that works are carried out with suitable and efficient equipment, tools and materialsEnsure that the replaced components are eligible and with suitable documentationIssue Certificate of Release to Service following maintenance on aircraft structure, powerplant and mechanical and electrical systems, and on avionics systems.Report any identified condition of the aircraft or component that has resulted or may result in an unsafe condition that hazards seriously the flight safetyKeep his/her competence current according to the qualification and training procedures approved by the OrganizationPresent a clean and neat work areaDemonstrate professionalism and deliver satisfaction to the internal/external customerPerform other related duties & responsibilities as assignedMust be present at every aircraft departure and arrival to perform pre-flight and post-flight checksMust travel off-Bologna base to oversee maintenance performed on the aircraftMust be on board the aircraft (escort) in the rare cases when operations are carried out in special locationsAbility to manage a the requirements of a line station and act as focal point for the organizationEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEB1/B2 EASA LicenseProven experience directly related aviation experience (corporate aircraft experience preferred)Type ratings on Falcon 2000ExEasy preferredGood working knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part M, Part CAMO.Minimum 5 years of work experience as aviation technicianGood technical English language knowledgeHigh responsibility sense and team working spiritFlexible, able to work under pressure and motivatedWilling to travel to work away on short notice periodsAbility to work independentlyREQUIRED SKILLSMust possess the legal ability to work in Italy and and have the ability to travel in and out of the UK/EU and US and to all cities/countries where the organization serves.Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraintsMust have the ability to multi-task within a team environmentStrong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programsPossess proven inspection competenciesMust be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitudeSpecialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the organizationMust maintain a valid driver's license.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
