Descrizione

Argotec is an Italian aerospace company specializing in the production of small satellite platforms (from CubeSats up to 250 kg-platforms) and innovative products to improve the comfort of space explorers. Thanks to its facilities and know-how, the company’s activities follow the “all in-house” concept, which includes design, development, integration, qualification, and operational services. At Argotec, we’re not just building satellites; we’re shaping the future of space innovation.

To support our Company’s growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Product Data Manager (PDM) to join our Product Development Engineering Unit, playing a crucial role in managing and organizing product-related information within Argotec. You will act as the key bridge between Engineering, Operations and Procurement, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date data flows seamlessly across teams and systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.

We foster a collaborative environment where every Argonaut can contribute with their ideas and expertise, create meaningful value together, and transform feedback and mistakes into opportunities for learning and innovation — growing both professionally and personally, as individuals and as a team.

DUTIES

As a Product Data Manager, working closely with Engineering, Operations and Procurement stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of product data and configuration, ensuring data quality, traceability and alignment with company goals.

The activities will include (but are not limited to):

- Act as mediator between Production, Engineering and Procurement stakeholders, ensuring proper communication and information sharing across all teams;
- Supervise digitalization activities across all active projects, including initial product digitalization, change management and deployment of new releases;
- Develop and implement Configuration Management Plans and drive data quality across products and projects;
- Develop and implement integrated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) plans and procedures;
- Implement and maintain documentation management processes that enable efficient data storage, search, and retrieval;
- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines and data processing systems;
- Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures;
- Manage data archiving, document searches using metadata (including technical drawing cartouche data), and storage of technical specifications within the ERP/PLM database;
- Assist supply chain management on special projects (e.g., one-off items, prototypes) and support long-lead items management and part obsolescence for existing products;
- Support the definition and periodic review of internal coding standards used for item tracking at all levels;
- Assist Program Managers during the execution of complex projects;
- Allow viewing of archived documents in lightweight formats (PDF, DWF, or Autodesk formats for CAD files).

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field;
- At least 2-3 years of experience in product and data configuration management;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with hands-on experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1);
- Proven experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence;
- Demonstrated experience with source control tools such as Git or Subversion;
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES);
- Proficiency in standard IT tools, with advanced usage of Microsoft Excel;
- Familiarity with CAD data management and integration between CAD tools and data management systems;
- Solid understanding of configuration management principles and change management processes;
- Experience in managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and technical documentation;
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy and traceability;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working under tight deadlines;
- Collaborative and team-oriented spirit.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

- Previous experience in the aerospace industry or in highly regulated industrial contexts (aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar);
- Knowledge of fully integrated PLM tools and methodologies;
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
- Experience supporting assembly and test plan definition and commissioning activities.
