Our client is a leading innovator in the field of autonomous vehicle technology, dedicated to shaping the future of transportation. To strengthen their Functional Safety Team, they are currently seeking a System & Safety Engineer to join their team in Parma.
This role offers a salary of up to €55,000 as well as the ability to work a hybrid model (3 days on site).
This position will take responsibility for the following:
1. Analysing and comprehending the requirements for autonomous vehicle functions, including studying system specifications, safety standards, and functional requirements.
2. Defining and managing system requirements according to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) guidelines.
3. Designing, developing, and testing software systems for autonomous vehicles, encompassing code writing, algorithm implementation, and integration with other components.
4. Analysing data from simulation and real-world testing to identify root causes of failures and collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve bugs.
5. Collaborating on system development and conducting real-world scenario testing on the vehicle.
6. Producing documentation and reports to facilitate collaboration with colleagues.
Experience required
7. Proven experience in software or system development for autonomous vehicles or similar complex systems.
8. Strong experience in Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), ISO 26262 (or similar) and SOTIF.
9. Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
