Social network you want to login/join with: MDC is looking for a Finance & Controlling Manager that will join the Finance and Controlling team, that is integral to MDC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing financials, costs and returns, structuring the M&A transactions and deploying real estate investment in the most effective way. The Finance and Controlling team strongly partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward-looking analysis, accuracy, efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions. The Financial & Controlling Manager will be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts and business plans, for the management of cash flows, for the timely and accurate reporting of financial results to the investors and stakeholders and for the assistance in the M&A transactions and in the setting of the business agreements’ economical terms. The candidate, reporting to the CFO, will handle the following activities: Finance and M&A: Analysing financial figures to evaluate investment opportunities and creating financial modelling for investors and stakeholders to find profitable investments. Translating financial data and models into detailed presentations and easy-to-understand financial reports. Researching and analysis of accounting and financial data identifying key drivers of variances of budgets, forecasts and actuals. Assisting the CFO in the due diligence processes by analysing the industry prospects, by gathering information about growth, returns and market possibilities and by reviewing project economical and financial fundamentals. Executing M&A activities by valuating the financial and strategic alternatives and by developing the necessary transactional and legal documents and managing the closing activities. Controlling and Financial Reporting: Reviewing and controlling balance sheet and cash-flow activity. Performing of business and financial controlling activities over the real estate projects. Monitoring, understanding and providing support for the periodic and annual accounting and financial reporting. Working closely with the accounting team to ensure proper support on revenue and costs accruals and all related financial statement closing journal entries. Reconciling and controlling of the aging of receivables and payables (follow-up with parties on pending receivables and manage the company's payables). Assisting the CFO in analysing accounting and financial schedules to support reporting requirements. Work effectively and liaise with other entity’s technical project managers to ensure the proper cost controlling. Support to the business: Assisting the CFO in reviewing and leading clear articulation of financial terms of business agreements, monitoring transactions ensuring they are in line with existing terms. Partnering with the business in the setting of the business agreements’ economical terms. Driving efficiency/improvement within the financial processes and ensuring visibility and transparency. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills: You’ll have a master’s degree in finance/accounting/controlling or equivalent experience. You’ll have background with operating in a complex financial or real estate organizations. From 2 to 5 years of experience in finance/controlling/accounting department. Strong numerical skills and sound financial modelling capabilities. Proficient in financial software and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Fluent in English (additional language preferred). You will bring your execution orientated: proactive escalation of issues whilst maintaining solution-focused and flexible approach to the team. You’ll have experience interacting with investors and stakeholders with varying degrees of financial expertise. You’ll have sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving abilities. High availability for business trips.
