We have an opportunity within the compliance function of Hitachi Europe Limited for an Ethics & Compliance Regional Manager. This role can be performed from any of Hitachi Europe's offices across Europe, including England, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and will work with colleagues globally, following a One Team approach. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the implementation of policies and procedures Promoting a ‘speak up’ culture and adherence to the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Role modeling Hitachi values consistently Providing training as appropriate Analyzing and reporting on training status Leading or supporting compliance initiatives at the Group level Supporting the compliance director with daily workload and large-scale projects Guiding entities on risks related to Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and Anti-Money Laundering Collaborating with legal and HR on concerns management processes Providing assurance on the health of the compliance program, identifying gaps through data analysis, and supporting entities to address them Working with the compliance team to develop a self-verification program Championing continuous improvement and simplification of internal processes Key Skills and Experience Passionate about Ethics & Compliance and eager to make a difference Ability to influence at all organizational levels Collaborative and stakeholder-engaged approach Leadership and management experience Effective oral and written communication skills Experience working with senior leaders Strong planning, prioritization, and workload management skills High cultural sensitivity Experience in Ethics and Compliance fields Advisory experience on key risks such as ABAC, CoI, CAT Experience in concerns management and policy implementation Understanding of risk management principles Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Fluency in Arabic, Russian, or Chinese (region-dependent requirement) Highly Desirable Skills Knowledge of audit, business integrity, and investigations Understanding of internal investigations and employee concerns programs Minimum travel is required - negotiable Along with a competitive salary and discretionary bonus, employees can opt for flexible working aligned with our hybrid model.
