Your Purpose


The Architecture & Design department is responsible for the interior and exterior design development of vessels within the MSC Cruises New Building Programme, working in partnership with technical, marine, and naval architecture teams.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Architecture (based in Genoa), the Architect is responsible for leading the graphic works according to the interior and exterior design development of all vessels aligned to a single brand; MSC Cruises.

In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of layout drawings, 3D concepts, and detailed design drawing packages including plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings. The role requires strong coordination skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate design intent into precise and buildable documentation


Your Impact

* Develop spatial layouts and architectural design concepts in coordination with project briefs
* Produce 3D concepts, detailed plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings for assigned areas
* Coordinate with FF&E, Artwork, and Signage teams to finalize area development
* Review and comment contractor drawings, material samples, and mock-ups
* Participate in inspections, site visits, and onboard delivery reviews
* Ensure all design documentation aligns with brand, regulatory, and technical standards
* Report to the Senior Architect Manager and support overall project coordination


Your Journey so far

* Language: English (fluent both written and spoken)
* Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture / interior design with focus on Ship / Yacht design preferred
* Demonstrable strong 2D and 3D drafting skills using AutoCAD / Rhino / Sketchup or similar.
* Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Suite.
* Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience in architectural or interior design
* Demonstrated experience in producing complete design packages (plans, elevations, sections, shop drawings)
* Familiarity with hospitality or marine design is a plus
* Fluent in communicating through multiple channels including presentations, reports, and documentation.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and grow as a designer.
* Availability to travel as when required.
