IT Auditor
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Build an in-depth understanding of standards and methodologies used;
* Develop business and IT acumen, staying informed about developments and emerging risks;
* Provide risk input for the development of the audit plan;
* Participate in and bring relevant IT perspectives to business process audit engagements, providing assurance on IT risks;
* Perform IT audit engagements from planning to reporting, documenting results according to standards under the supervision of the Chief Audit Executive;
Discuss and agree on audit reports and corrective actions with senior management, ensuring tracking and implementation of actions.
Report and escalate risks and issues as appropriate
Enhance knowledge and business awareness by reviewing resources and engaging with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Information Technology
At least 3-5 years of experience in an internal audit department of a bank or Big 4 firm dealing with clients in the financial services industry.
International Certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CSX) are a plus. Candidates without certifications must obtain one after hiring.
Competencies and Skills
* Knowledge of internal controls, processes, compliance testing, and assessment principles;
* Understanding of the financial services industry, especially financial advisory networks and IT infrastructure;
* Knowledge of controls around technology management, including new technologies (Robotics, API, Cloud, Data Loss Prevention, Cybersecurity);
* Experience in audits related to Change Management, Configuration & Release, Service Management, Incident & Problem Management, IT Security, Business Continuity, Third-Party Management, Outsourcing;
* Understanding of industry standards, market drivers, business issues, regulations, and developments;
* Ability to apply data analytics techniques in audits;
* Knowledge of Italian regulatory frameworks (e.g., Bank of Italy);
* Analytical and critical thinking skills;
* Flexibility and collaborative attitude;
* Effective communication skills;
* Ability to build good relationships with colleagues and clients;
* Fluent in English and Italian.
