The official recruitment begins August 2025. By applying to this pipeline position, you have the option to get in contact with us early in the application cycle for our SAP Academy for Customer Success Program starting March 2026. We will host info sessions about the Program in the months ahead.

The SAP Academy for Customer Success is a global development program designed for talent early in their career.

Who You’ll Become

The Account Executive's primary responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with existing and new customers. The Account Executive empowers our customers to achieve their full potential by understanding their strategy, business goals, and desired outcomes, thereby driving cloud revenue growth through dedicated sales efforts to help solve their business challenges by positioning value through our solutions.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive within the SAP Academy for Customer Success, your responsibilities include:

* Completing a 10-month learn-apply program, including classroom and field phases with your sales team, which enhances your support in the role and is a critical customer-facing function within our Customer Success Board Area.
* Engaging in experiential learning focusing on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology knowledge, solution/industry expertise, and strategy/tools/processes.
* Driving value across the customer lifecycle through solution adoption and renewals, fostering account expansion.
* Receiving onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentoring by a Senior Account Executive. You will work both behind the scenes and directly with customers.

The program will deepen your SAP knowledge and professional experience to prepare you for customer-facing sales roles. We offer full-time employment from day one with practical learning applications. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a direct sales role in your market with continued mentoring and coaching support.

Sales roles include: Account Executive (AE), Solution Sales Executive (SSE)

SSE focus areas

SAP Finance & Spend Management (F&S) – Knowledge in accounting, procurement, and supplier management, aimed at improving visibility, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.

SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) – Knowledge in HR and payroll, talent management, employee experience, HR analytics, workforce planning, and sales performance management.

SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) – Knowledge in supply chain, asset management, manufacturing, logistics, or product/project lifecycle management.

SAP Customer Experience (CX) – Knowledge of e-commerce sales, customer service, and marketing processes.

SAP Business Transformation Management (BTM) – Knowledge in business process management and automation applications.

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) & SAP Data Cloud (BDC) – Knowledge in data management, analytics, application development, and integration, with understanding of related technology domains.

What You Bring

1. 2–3 years of professional experience in a quota-carrying sales environment in a tech company or in a role with significant business process exposure.
2. Experience in generating opportunities, qualifying leads, managing sales pipelines, and building customer relationships with a proven track record.
3. A cooperative approach to internal and external relationships.
4. Ability to quickly learn new concepts, adapt to change, and apply knowledge effectively.
5. Understanding of AI fundamentals, uses, and ethics to identify business problems solvable with AI.
6. A resilient mindset, embracing challenges with optimism and striving for growth.
7. Strong business acumen, including knowledge of business processes or industries.
8. Proficiency in English and Italian for effective communication within our global and local networks.

The SAP Academy for Customer Success offers a three-year program that fosters accountability and productivity, enabling graduates to impact customer-facing roles quickly while supporting long-term career growth.

SAP’s hybrid work model typically involves three days per week in the office or onsite with customers or partners, subject to local guidelines.

We plan an immersive program component involving four weeks in San Ramon, California, for hands-on learning and networking. The final decision on this component will be communicated by Q1 2026, with sufficient prep time provided.

During key phases, full engagement is required, and vacation will be restricted to maximize learning and success.
