Key Job Responsibilities
- Integrate and test the Leo satellite and complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD‐controlled environment
- Use precision calibrated tools—torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units, including basic troubleshooting operations
- Use computer software programs for running tests
- Check and inspect work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, and effective work environment
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work Wed‐Sat from 4 PM‐2:30 AM
- Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
- Able to climb up and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as required
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
- Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (calipers, multi‐meters, torque wrenches)
- 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
- Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
- 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, aviation, military, or other high‐reliability operating environments
- Experience working with FOD, ESD‐sensitive hardware, and clean‐room requirements
- Basic knowledge of electrical, optical, and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing, and/or satellite components
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high‐paced, challenging environment
- Experience working in a fast‐paced, team environment
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure.
