Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators) have space to connect, secure & defend, observe & protect, explore, travel & navigate.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in the following areas:Software specification: definition of functional / interface / performance requirements from the system specification and customer requirements.Requirements allocation for the main subsystems (e.g. DH, Thermal, TTC, Power, etc.).Software architecture definition.Software development planning covering all lifecycle phases according to the defined software category.Support of the ITT process for the selection of software contractors.Preparation of the overall software technical baseline for developers.Follow‑up of software developer contractors.Definition of the FDIR architecture and related software requirements, including PUS services.Analysis of software unit test outcomes.Support of software‑software, hardware‑software integration and validation on software testing benches and avionic test benches (SVF+STB/ATB).Preparation of technical documentation such as ICDs, user manuals, budgets, etc.Definition of software requirements, design solutions and coding rules for cyber‑security aspects.Follow‑up of cyber‑security activities related to the software.QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace or Electronics engineering.Experience with RTOS and programming languages (including assembly).Good knowledge of communication protocols (serial lines, buses, networks).Problem‑solving attitude.Management skills (schedule, costs, supplier selection and follow‑on).Team‑working and communication skills.Excellent written and spoken English.BenefitsAt Thales Alenia Space we provide careers, not just jobs.
