Join us in redefining the boundaries of what’s possible! /ph3Your role /h3pWe are seeking a strongSenior RD Smarteyewear Product Design Engineer /strong to join our RD Department. /ph3Main Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop and serve as a reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team. /liliIdeate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems. /liliPush the boundaries of state-of-the-art technologies to solve complex mechanical problems. /liliWork across the full product development cycle, from idea and concept definition to product finalization. /liliCollaborate closely with industrial designers, UX teams, and quality assurance. /liliTravel to support engineering builds and vendor visits. /li /ulh3Main Requirements /h3ulliEducational background in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design. /liliExperience with Parametric 3D CAD software, preferably Creo. /liliKnowledge of PDM systems, preferably Windchill. /liliUnderstanding of injection molding design and processes. /liliAt least 3 years of industry experience in mechanical or mold design. /liliExperience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing. /liliProficiency with design and simulation tools, prototyping, manufacturing technologies, and materials. /liliKnowledge of material properties for plastics, metals, adhesives, glass, etc. /liliAbility to build relationships and collaborate across teams. /liliCapable of operating autonomously in a dynamic environment. /liliStrong organizational skills, scientific approach, and problem-solving skills. /liliExperience in consumer electronics product development is a plus. /liliProficiency with Office 365. /liliExperience managing a team of RD Product Design Engineers. /liliOver 5 years of relevant field experience. /li /ulh3What’s in it for you /h3pAt EssilorLuxottica, your career is unique.
