Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in ROMA - IT.

Accountabilities
* Collaborate with the Site Manager for OS&M Operations activities on site (planning and execution).
* Focus on objectives, targets, and measurements for commissioning, maintenance, and support services to achieve customer satisfaction.
* Manage the multi-disciplinary Maintenance team to meet client requirements and policies.
* Supervise documentation of significant events for trains under Maintenance.
* Analyze and resolve technical problems, intervening personally when necessary, and coordinating internal and external resources.
* Plan, direct, and control commissioning and maintenance strategies and budgets.
* Oversee daily maintenance services cost-effectively.
* Lead the local maintenance team and be co-responsible for its performance.
* Implement retrofits/modifications during commissioning and warranty periods.
* Communicate relevant information to internal departments and participate in the Operations management team, collaborating with quality, materials management, and engineering departments.
* Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and implement cost-saving projects.
* Present effectively to groups of customers, employees, or contractors.
* Prepare internal reports on commissioning and maintenance activities.
* Ensure adequate spare parts stocks at warehouses.
* Ensure all site activities comply with regulatory and company HSE standards.
Required Skills / Knowledge
* Preferably, experience in maintenance and/or commissioning of railway vehicles.
* Curiosity about technical aspects.
* Good communication and listening skills.
* Highly customer-oriented approach.
* Teamwork willingness.
* Ability to prepare work schedules, reports, and correspondence.
* Proficiency in Office Professional and Outlook.
* Availability to travel or transfer for short or long periods to other cities for railway maintenance.
Education / Qualifications
* Technical High School diploma in Mechanical or Electronic engineering.
Languages
* Proficiency in English and mandatory proficiency in Italian.
