MTIC InterCert is a multinational group which provides services as a Notified body (CE 0068), Accredited Laboratory, Certification Body. It is growing steadily and successfully in all areas of testing, inspection, and certification.
Position
Currently, we are looking for a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Department Manager for our office MTIC Intercert, Rho, Italy.
Main responsibilities
* Supervise under his own responsibility the correct performance of all the activities of the scheme, taking care of each phase, from the QMS documents to the applicable legislative and regulatory documentation, through planning, coordination, entrustment, supervision, review and the management of the same.
* Ensure the correct execution of the process of selection, qualification, training, evaluation, and authorization of internal and external personnel of the relevant activity scheme, defining the minimum competence and educational requirements for the individual roles, according to the requirements set out in the applicable QMS documentation and external origin.
* Draw up the technical documentation of the QMS (e.g., operating procedures, instructions, checklists for the evaluation of the technical file, checklists and audit reports) ensuring compliance with applicable standards of the Union harmonization legislation and the applicable legislative documentation, the QMS, etc.
* Collaborate with the commercial secretariat for correctly defining the offer and reviewing it.
* Supervise the programming and planning of the activities of the relevant scheme.
* Assign resources to evaluation/audit activities in compliance with applicable authorization requirements and assign tasks and roles to the personnel of the scheme.
* Participate in the definition of activities and objectives of the relevant scheme in collaboration with the department manager and senior management.
* Define the annual training and refresher plans for all personnel of the relevant scheme, including periodic monitoring plans in the field and the review of practice documentation.
* Define the composition of the certification decision-making committee and summon its members when deciding on certification.
* Review documentation relating to each activity carried out by the Sector, with particular reference to results documentation, signing it for approval where necessary.
* Manage the process of suspension, withdrawal, reduction of purpose, etc., of certificates in compliance with QMS requirements.
Minimum requirements
* High school diploma with technical address, or first or second level degree in technical or scientific disciplines. A university degree or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
* 4 years of general work experience, of which at least 2 in conformity assessment or design/manufacturing/conformity assessment or testing for PPE products (especially protective equipment against drowning, respiratory protection, head protection, hand and arm protection).
* Good knowledge of accreditation standards applied by the Body (17000 series).
* Good knowledge of European legislative documentation (Regulation 765/2008/EC, Decision 768/2008/EC, etc.).
* Good knowledge of IAF, ILAC, EA documents.
* Excellent knowledge of practices defined by system, product and inspection certification standards.
* Preferably 40 hours ISO 19011 course.
* Knowledge of conformity assessment standards.
* Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
* Office suite skills.
