Responsibilities
Responsible for managing supplier relationships, supply chain security, supplier measurement, and supplier pricing maintenance within the commodities assigned.
* Manage supplier relationships within each commodity by understanding the suppliers’ management team, facilities, capabilities, business health, and performance record.
* Ensure execution of new supplier onboarding and phase-out plans.
* Manage and drive productivity action plans.
* Implement Purchasing Supply Agreements and support Purchasing Managers in data gathering and supply demand analysis relevant to the Business Unit.
* Coordinate between new product development teams and suppliers to lead part changes (ECN process) and support new product development projects.
* Support the Business Unit in service level management and new product management.
* Collaborate with Engineering to identify parts and replacements.
* Work with Quality to monitor quality programs and resolve issues.
* Follow up on cost reduction and cost containment projects.
* Develop, implement, and maintain supply chain security within assigned commodities.
* Assess supplier performance and provide feedback to the Purchasing Manager; escalate issues as needed.
* Handle RFQ/RFP, offer analysis, PO release, order confirmation, and PO updates and archiving.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
Key Skills and Attributes
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing.
* Ability to work effectively in an international/multicultural environment.
* Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
* Ability to collaborate internally to assess supplier performance and handle escalations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with MRP systems, preferably Oracle or AS400.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
