We start with tackling the power limitations of small satellites by providing best-in-class products for small satellites: Solar Array Drive Assemblies, solar arrays and deployment mechanisms.
To achieve this mission, we are on the lookout for a Lead AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) Engineer. In this role, you will be getting your hands on the hardware on the production floor together with the AIT team and you will manage the team's resources (lead the team, manage priorities and rule the labs). The ideal candidate will be process-oriented, have experience in coordinating deeply technical assembly and testing activities, and have experience in electrical/electronics AIT. You will be working closely with the Product Owners, QA and the COO.
Working location: Turin, Italy
Working language: English
Starting date: June-July 2026
Responsibilities
Hands-on execution:
Build, test our products and validate processes together with the AIT team;
Coordinate the definition and compliance with internal processes;
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all AIT & inventory-related documentation;
Collaborate with the engineering team on technical designs to derisk the AIT phase of new products;
Participate in optimization of the production processes and take active part in scaling our production facility.
Leadership & Coordination:
Act as the primary interface between AIT and Product Owners (POs), QA, and Procurement;
Manage the master production schedule for our AIT campaigns;
Serve as the bridge for QA, ensuring anomalies are tracked and resolved without compromising product quality;
Guarantee inventory accuracy for the lab; trigger the procurement of necessary consumables, tools, and equipment to prevent production bottlenecks.
Requirements
A proven track record of 8+ years in space AIT (highly preferred) or a high-reliability hardware industry (e.g., medical, defense, aviation, sensitive measurement instrumentation);
A strong background in manufacturing of electronic & electrical systems;
Experience managing small, high-performance technical teams: you know how to "set your foot down" on quality while keeping the team motivated under a tight delivery schedule;
Comfortable with ambiguity: you can "do" (define the process) and "delegate" (coordinate the execution) in the same afternoon;
Systems thinking – we build electromechanical systems where mechanical, electrical, electronics and firmware components all play crucial role in product's integrity;
Fluent use of English (clear written and spoken communication);
Management and leadership skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with serial production or scaling production lines;
Experience with environmental testing (TVAC, Vibration, EMC).
What we offer
RAL range 5 EUR;
goal-oriented environment with flexible working hours;
possibility of occasional remote work;
international team driven by passion and commitment;
company activities and retreats;
meal vouchers (Buoni pasto);
hands-on experience with the design, manufacturing, and testing of space-grade systems;
direct impact on a NewSpace startup in the heart of Europe's high-tech hub;
possibility of participation in the early-employee equity scheme.
Studies have shown that women and people from unprivileged backgrounds are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Revolv Space, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. xivgfpx You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
