For the restaurants of our prestigious Hotel San Clemente Palace in Venice, we are seeking passionate Maîtres.
These positions will be responsible for directing and coordinating the dining room service, ensuring the hotel's standards of excellence
are maintained and offering a top-notch dining experience to our international clientele.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION: Organize, supervise, and manage dining room service independently, acting as a liaison between guests, the
dining room staff, and the kitchen.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES: The role is performed satisfactorily when;
Service is smooth, timely, and impeccable.
Guests receive a warm, personalized, and professional welcome.
The dining room staff is motivated, well-trained, and efficiently coordinated.
Communication and coordination with the Executive Chef and the kitchen staff are excellent.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Dining Management: Oversee the entire service flow, coordinating the activities of the Chefs de Rang, Commis, and Sommelier.
Hospitality and PR: Greet guests, manage reservations, strategically assign tables, and actively maintain customer relations
Leadership and Training: Motivate, train, and evaluate dining room staff, promoting professional growth and ensuring compliance with standards.
Operational Control: Liaise with management to plan shifts, align menus, manage any critical issues, and monitor department costs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: At least 3-5 years of proven experience as a Maitre or Assistant Maitre in a 5-star hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of food and wine, excellent skills in scheduling and teamwork.
Languages: Excellent command of English. Secon language is beneficial, especially Italian.
Knowledge of Micros System.
Soft Skills: Excellent standing, natural leadership, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills in stressful situations.
Contract until 31.10.2026. Might be extended
