Vision software engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a Vision Software Engineer to join our Engineering Business Unit, with the objective of designing, developing and implementing industrial vision systems to support product and process control.
The ideal candidate is a technical profile with competencies in software and automation, interested in vision systems applied to industrial environments, and willing to work in dynamic contexts, including international projects.
Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement industrial vision systems for product and process quality control
• Configure and integrate vision hardware and software (cameras, lenses and lighting systems) within automated machines
• Develop vision algorithms and applications using programming languages and dedicated libraries
• Collaborate with automation, engineering and production teams to ensure optimal integration of vision systems within production lines
• Perform testing, validation and troubleshooting activities on implemented systems
• Support installation, commissioning and start-up activities at customer sites, both in Italy and abroad
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of vision solutions in terms of performance, robustness and standardization
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in scientific disciplines (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or Engineering (Information Engineering, Electronics or similar); candidates with ITS background in mechatronics or IT will also be considered
• Good knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++ or C# (or similar)
• English proficiency at least at B1 level
• Availability to travel in Italy and abroad for short periods
• Experience in configuring Cognex smart cameras using the In-Sight interface is considered a plus
