Truck Product Development Specialist
Role Overview
As a Truck Product Development Specialist, you will be part of an international R&D environment, contributing to the definition, design, validation, and continuous improvement of products specifically tailored for NAFTA applications. You will transform market needs into robust product solutions aligned with Prometeon’s technological and strategic roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Benchmarking
Conduct in‑depth analysis of NAFTA market applications, technical requirements, performance expectations, and competitor products.
Product & Mold Design
Design tread patterns, tread profiles, and sidewall geometries using CAD tools (AutoCAD, CREO preferred). Support mold design activities in coordination with manufacturing teams.
Technical Specification Development
Define tire specifications and performance targets, follow industrialization phases in Prometeon’s manufacturing plants, plan, monitor, and analyze internal and external testing sessions.
Simulation & Optimization
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Use FEA tools to model, optimize, and validate structural and performance characteristics.
Market Validation
Monitor product KPIs in real NAFTA field conditions and contribute to continuous improvement plans. Work closely with cross‑functional teams across R&D, industrialization, quality, and marketing.
Availability for travel to North America, typically 1–2 weeks per mission.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with CREO is a plus.
Experience with FEA tools applied to tire design.
Excellent capability to analyze complex technical data. Effective problem‑solving skills and proactivity. Ability to anticipate market trends and needs.
