Inventory Optimization Specialist
This role involves analyzing, controlling, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. You will work closely with procurement, sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles. Key responsibilities include:
* Analyzing inventory data such as historical sales, lead times, and demand patterns to identify trends and risks.
* Creating and maintaining accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and relevant data.
* Defining optimal inventory parameters, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and EOQs.
* Monitoring and reporting on inventory KPIs (e.g., turnover, fill rates, backorder rates, obsolescence).
* Investigating inventory discrepancies and performing root cause analysis to drive corrective actions.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory analysis, planning, or logistics-related roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret and work with complex data sets. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; familiarity with database systems. Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative team player. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Solid knowledge of inventory control principles and supply chain processes. Fluency in English (written and spoken).
