For one of our clients, a leader in the Industrial Automation/ Robotic sector, we are looking for Temporary Production & Operations Setup Manager
Your Tasks
* Set up production processes, assembly flows, workstation methods, and SOPs.
* Define plant layout and supervise machinery installation.
* Create the warehouse management model, codification, and traceability.
* Structure the industrial BOM and procurement flows.
* Lead supplier scouting and qualification, ensuring technical and contractual compliance.
* Implement quality checkpoints (incoming, in‐process, final).
* Deploy KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards.
* Support ERP/MES definition and initial configuration.
* Ensure complete technical and process documentation.
* Train and transfer ownership to the internal team.
Technical Skills
* 10+ years in production, operations, or industrialization in mechatronics or automation.
* Proven experience in setting up production systems from zero.
* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFM/DFT, and traceability.
* Experience with BOM, ERP/MES, and supplier qualification.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant industrial standards.
Education
* Degree in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

* Duration: 6–8 months or more
* Engagement: part‐time or full‐time
* The role is available in freelance/contract mode
* Fluent in: English (B2 or above)
* Work locations: Bologna, Italy – nearby production site
