Onsite - Leylands Estate, Derby
Your day will involve overseeing and delivering high standards of cleaning and preparation across the estate’s communal areas. This will include corridors, shared leisure and activity spaces, some office areas, and vacant properties. Your work will ensure these environments remain clean, safe, and hygienic for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Although you will not be responsible for cleaning residents’ personal accommodation, there will be frequent interaction with residents and visitors. As such, sensitivity, empathy, and respect for residents’ needs, rights, and dignity are essential during all housekeeping activities.
You will be approachable, compassionate, and confident in communicating with residents and the wider team, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for everyone on the estate.
You will have experience and/or training in a domestic or housekeeping environment and be committed to maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The role will also involve supporting the set‑up of activity and event spaces when required.
You will have:
* An understanding of the safe use of cleaning chemicals and products
* Knowledge of safe working practices, including moving and handling
* A flexible approach to work
This role is primarily worked Monday to Friday, between 9.00am and 5.00pm. However, flexibility is required, as you may occasionally be asked to cover colleagues’ holiday or sickness absences.
