A modern company that designs and builds complex machinery and industrial plants is seeking to recruit a Temporary HR Manager to support its operations.
Assignment Overview
- Duration: 6 months
- Workload: Part-time (approximately 0.5 FTE)
- Location: Ferrara
- Start date: By the week of 2nd May, to ensure handover with the current team and training with the payroll provider (ADP)
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll professional to manage and support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes for international manufacturing operations.
The role works closely with local managers and employees and reports functionally to the Global HR team, ensuring seamless HR service delivery and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Collaborate with recruitment partners to identify and attract talent
- Support pre-hire processes and employment documentation
- Prepare and deliver onboarding and induction programs for new hires
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Act as the first point of contact for employees
- Handle day-to-day HR queries related to policies, benefits, attendance, payroll, and HR systems
- Ensure a high level of service excellence and responsiveness
Payroll, Benefits & Compensation Administration
- Prepare and validate payroll inputs
- Manage employee lifecycle changes and related system updates
- Ensure data accuracy for monthly payroll cycles
- Provide administrative support for benefits
- Ensure full compliance with employment and payroll regulations
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Maintain regular on-site presence and employee interaction
- Contribute to improving workplace climate and organizational culture
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8–10 years of experience in HR and payroll roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Solid hands-on experience in HR operations and payroll processes
- Experience with ADP or ADP Celergo payroll systems is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate effectively in an international environment
- Proactive, reliable, and service-oriented mindset
