Job Summary
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF WORK: The world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions for industry, Imerys delivers high value-added, functional solutions to diversified sets of industrial sectors, from processing industries to consumer goods, based in Paris. Imerys has operations in over 40 countries and over 16,000 employees; it is present in Italy with 7 production sites and trading activities. In order to support the financial function, Imerys is looking for a GL Accountant (fixed term 12 months).
The ideal candidate is a smart person, willing to take over responsibilities in a multinational company, able to cooperate and communicate with different peers and stakeholders (accounting, treasury, IT, customer service, procurement and operations).
Main Responsibilities
* Daily coordination of the Financial Service Center (in Greece) and supervision of general accounting and related reconciliations/balances;
* Supervision of intercompany transactions;
* Support to all Italian Imerys entities in archiving and administrative activities;
* Supervision of the completeness and correct sending of electronic invoice;
* VAT, Conai and Intrastat submission;
* Participation to IT projects for the implementation and customization of SAP S/4HANA;
Other Important Functions
The ideal candidate possesses the following requirements:
* Accounting diploma or degree in economics;
* Experience in the role of at least 2/3 years gained in modernly structured companies;
* Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken; French might be a plus.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Knowledge of SAP is mandatory, JDE is a plus.
