About The RoleThe Iberia (Spain & Portugal), DACH (Germany, Austria, & Switzerland), and Southern, Central & Eastern Europe (SCEE) Safety & Identity Team is responsible for enabling sustained business growth. This is achieved by building an industry-leading safety and standards program. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the mission of advancing safety for Mobility & Delivery at Uber. We are looking for a collaborative professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and is motivated by a mission to enhance safety across the communities we serve. You will analyze complex issues, develop practical solutions, and communicate insights that drive the business forward. By partnering with a diverse range of internal and external collaborators, you will implement changes that create immediate impact. With end-to-end ownership of your projects—from design to execution—your work will tangibly improve safety across the Mobility & Delivery landscape.What The Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
Support Mobility & Delivery safety in the SCEE region to ensure that Uber is the platform of choiceDesign and implement scalable processes and initiatives to improve safety on the Uber platformUnderstand the business objectives and plans in order to advise on safety implications and give strategic recommendations to senior managementPartner with your EMEA counterparts to share best practices and lessons learned widely, thus scaling your impactFacilitate improvements in incident handling metrics, fostering compliance with our reporting obligations and improving customer experienceWork cross-functionally with legal, risk, product and engineering teams to build and deploy innovative technology solutions that support our goals of reducing safety incidents on the platformSupport the launch of comms campaigns, educational content, strategic partnerships, and other safety initiatives
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of proven experience in business operations, product operations, safety, security, consulting, or related areas is preferred, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements.Note: We recognize that expertise takes many forms. If you have slightly less experience but a strong track record of delivery and a passion for this space, we strongly encourage you to apply.Demonstrated project management, planning and organization skills bringing order and simplicity to ambiguous problems and aligning all parties through to execution.English & Turkish language proficiency.
