Role Responsibilities
Based on the received work orders and respecting the deadlines for the delivery of finished products, plans the operational production activities on the plants in collaboration with other function managers.
Ensures the coordination of personnel, activities, and equipment in the various production departments.
Manages the production departments to pursue the objectives defined by the Production Program, ensuring that these objectives are achieved in compliance with quantity, quality, productivity, and legal regulations regarding environment and safety.
Plans with other Managers ordinary and extraordinary maintenance operations of the plants, ensuring their efficiency and execution.
Proposes improvements that can be realized in investments aimed at greater productivity, safety, and final product quality.
Collaborates with the Operation Manager and the Plant Manager for the drafting and updates of Procedures and Operating Instructions related to the operation of manufacturing Lines, to ensure their correct management by operators, and to guarantee the safety conditions of the operating personnel, in the work environment and the protection of the external environment, in all phases, including emergencies.
Ensures the training, information, and training of production department personnel on specific production-related topics and those of Hygiene, Safety, and Environment, recording the training on appropriate system forms.
Ensures compliance with current regulations on Hygiene and Safety in the workplace.
Plans and activates, in collaboration with other Managers, improvement and prevention programs for all activities impacting quality, safety, and environment.
Develops and controls the budget of its service expenses.
Immediately informs REHS in case of problems that may affect the quality, safety, and hygiene of work, the surrounding environment.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Fluent in English
Experience / Skills / Abilities
At least 5 years of industrial experience in the production of chemical products.
Knowledge of the main industrial equipment
Familiarity with ERP and production planning systems
Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles
Solid leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of the accounting principles
Informatic knowledge
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
