Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.ResponsibilitiesMain Role (System Engineer – Solution): To provide specialized engineering expertise in the frame of payload sub-systems and components, in terms of design and analyses, in all phases of a space project life cycle, from design specification to manufacturing, integration, verification phases, up to operations.The role will be focused in the frame of Digital Payload and on standard C band/Ku band/L band bent pipe payload.Focus on On-Ground Demonstrators of innovative systems is expected with relevant Laboratories design and instrumentations operations including implementation of SW codes aimed to DEMO design.Expertize in the frame of Secure TTC systems is a valuable assetQualificationsMaster's Degree or equivalent, with a specialization which includes telecommunication or RF electronics engineering2-4 years related work experience in RF engineering work, ideally in relation to RF payloads, is a valuable assetKnowledge of payload architecture, design and manufacturing:RF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystemLink budget and capacity assessmentRepeater RF performance measurementIntegration and testingQuality control essentialsKnowledge of Telecom Protocol (DVB-S, IP, ...) is requiredUsage of SW design tools (STK, Satsoft) is a valuable assetExperience in antenna and payload equipment procurement activities is an assetExperience in programming languages (Java/C) and payload computer simulation (Matlab, xrdztoy Simulink) and design tools is an assetExcellent English communications skills both written and oralWillingness to learn new technologies and systemsAbility to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse and international team environment and to define and implement solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlinesGood analytical, organizational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologiesGreat team working attitudeAvailability to work at Customer premises in Vigna di Valle for at least 50% of yearly working days is a valuable asset
