Receptionist Job Description
The receptionist works closely with the Front Office Manager to ensure that guests have an exceptional experience during their stay at the hotel. They handle many of the day-to-day tasks involved in running a hotel and may oversee the daily operations of the front desk, resolving guest complaints or concerns.
Requirements include familiarity with customer service best practices, the ability to think quickly, work well under pressure, and handle difficult situations effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the efficient running of the Reception according to the hotel's policies and procedures.
2. Handle the company's finances, including reconciling accounts and processing payroll (direct and OTA's).
3. Answer questions about hotel policies, room availability, and other customer service issues.
4. Provide customer service to guests by answering questions about hotel amenities and services, making reservations, and assisting with problems.
5. Coordinate special events at the hotel such as weddings or villa rentals, in conjunction with the Front Office Manager.
6. Assist the manager with administrative tasks such as payroll processing, accounting, and bookkeeping.
7. Maintain records of customer information, including contact details, preferences, and previous interactions.
