This position may evolve into Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Director of IT & Cybersecurity, depending on performance and organizational growth.

We are seeking an IT Manager to lead the design, implementation and management of Institute Itech's IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will oversee corporate systems, cloud services, cybersecurity, networks, devices, software environments, user access, IT policies and the operational procedures required to support a secure, scalable and professional organization.

The IT Manager will ensure that all systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of a research-driven organization.
IT Infrastructure & Systems
Design and manage IT infrastructure (cloud, on-premise, hybrid systems)
Oversee Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and enterprise services
Manage networks, servers, and internal systems
Cybersecurity
Define and implement cybersecurity strategies
Manage endpoint protection, monitoring, and threat detection
Implement VPNs, access control systems, and secure communication protocols
Configure and control corporate devices (MacBook, iPhone, etc.)
Software & Platform Development Support
Support development teams with infrastructure and deployment
Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection standards
Define IT policies, access control, and internal security procedures
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT management, infrastructure, or cybersecurity
Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Network architecture
Experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g. Fluent English
Background in cybersecurity or information security management
Certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Security+, CISSP, etc.)
Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure automation
Strategic role in building Institute Itech's IT infrastructure
Growth path toward CIO or Director of IT & Cybersecurity
Reimbursement of approved travel and project-related expenses
Annual Gross Salary: €54,000 – €60,000, depending on experience and expertise.
