Ice Cream Project Engineer
Scope: Temporary
Location: Caivano Factory Italy
Terms & Conditions: Full Time
JOB PURPOSE
The project engineer is primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising industrial engineering projects from the initial concept phase through to final completion. Their duties range from defining technical specifications to managing resources, monitoring project progress, and resolving technical issues that may arise during implementation. One distinctive aspect of this role is the ability to translate complex technical requirements into concrete and understandable action plans for all stakeholders involved.
* Develops and analyses technical specifications to ensure project feasibility
* Coordinates multidisciplinary teams composed of engineers, technicians, and suppliers
* Manages timelines, budgets, and resources necessary for project execution
* Monitors project progress and implements corrective actions when needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Project update meetings
* Reviewing technical documentation
* Preparing reports and presentations
* Simplifying complex data for the team
* Supporting inspections in production or at suppliers
Working as a project engineer means being at the center of a complex ecosystem where technical, economic, and relational aspects converge. It’s a role that requires great versatility and adaptability, as each project presents unique and often unpredictable challenges. The greatest satisfaction comes from seeing ideas and concepts materialize into tangible solutions that improve production processes or create new products. On the other hand, the responsibility of managing significant budgets and meeting tight deadlines can generate considerable pressure.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, automation)
* Master’s degree in industrial production engineering or similar specializations (preferred)
* Interest and aptitude for project management
* Basic knowledge of IT tools and production processes
* Fluent English
* Technical: knowledge of production processes, design and optimization skills, proficiency in project management software, familiarity with industry regulations, data analysis.
* Cross-functional: leadership, problem solving, effective communication, time management, adaptability, negotiation, and ability to work under pressure.
* At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, preferably gained in comparable production environments.

* Obtain recognized certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 to structure and manage complex projects with standardized approaches, enhancing process efficiency and result quality
* Develop specialized technical skills
* Deepen knowledge in specific areas such as industrial automation, advanced control systems, or emerging technologies for Industry 4.0, becoming a technical reference point within the organization
* Improve budget management skills
* Refine skills in financial planning and cost control, learning to optimize available resources and justify technological investments through solid cost-benefit analyses
* Develop technical leadership skills
* Build the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, learning to motivate professionals with different backgrounds and facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical departments
* Implement technological innovation projects
* Lead the introduction of new technologies in production processes, demonstrating the ability to manage change and translate innovation into measurable competitive advantages for the company
* Optimize production processes
* Apply methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma to identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvements that increase productivity and reduce waste
* Expand skills in industrial sustainability
* Acquire knowledge of eco-sustainable technologies and processes, learning to design solutions that reduce environmental impact and optimize energy consumption in industrial plants
