PLANT QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY MANAGER ORICOLA
The plant Quality and Food Safety Manager is securing at plant level, that all internal, external and legal product and production process QFS standards & guidelines are met. Actively participates in creating an "Always Audit Ready" organization in the Plant by achieving best in class Quality and Food Safety performances.
Demonstrates leadership and commitment through development and execution of continuous improvement strategy, where "quality is everyone's responsibility".
Coordinates and verifies quality assurance related activities and effective functioning of laboratory, including team management and costs.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Compliance with QFS standards
• Responsible for implementing and improving quality assurance processes at the plant level in accordance with CCH, TCCC and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains effective QFS systems to ensure products and package quality.
• Supports plant manufacturing to produce quality product. This includes packaging, labelling, microbiological and chemical stability of products to the trade, TCCC approved, and all compliance and certification standards maintained to reflect same.
• Lead and chair the Plant cross-functional Food Safety Team
• Ensures legal, KORE and CCHBC Group requirements are understood and implemented in the Plant in area of Quality and Food Safety
• Ensure and develop effective sampling plans based on CCHBC, TCCC, local law requirements and current needs to ensure quality and food safety standards of finished products, ingredients, raw materials and materials;
QFS KBIs
• Accountable for plant quality performance and reduction of financial losses due to quality issues ('cost of quality')
• Reporting to the HQ and the Group the QFS indicators and preparing robust data analyses with proper RCA and CAP.
Complaints management
• Assures effective and timely handling of customer and consumers' complaints and communication according to the related procedure
Change management / validations / New Product Implementation (NPI)
• Initiate and lead QFS risk assessment according to company internal requirements for new processes/equipment/products/packaging, based on which validation plans would be proposed and designed.
• Supervise its realization, collect and analyze data, ensure proper risk assessment and if needed mitigation plan execution and effectiveness.
• Share results with Country/Group and align on approval when needed
CCHBC Programs
• Responsible for implementation on plant level and regular follow up on activities of: Critical to Quality (CtQ) preventive maintenance matrix, B2B, GMP excellence, DPMO, HACCP programs.
• Plan and conduct revalidation programs in the plant
Structured problem solving and root cause analysis
• Responsible for identifying and addressing QFS issues in the plant.
• Lead the Quality and Food Safety related RCA and actively participate in problem solving sessions to support plant team in issue resolution.
• Supervise corrective actions where deviations from the company & law requirement standards, specifications, adverse trends are found, and any deviation from the Plant internal programs related to CIP/COP, GMP, Food Safety Program (HACCP) have been detected;
• Leads the quality release processes of blocked products, ingredients or raw materials in case of out of specification results, or other requirements and in needed stop the production process, supervises out of specification product;
Escalation process
• Develops and sustain proactive trend analysis and alert levels; ensure that adverse trends are known by key stakeholders and covered by corrective actions, monitor CAP implementations.
• Escalate to Plant Manager and Country QSE all events that influence or may influence quality and food safety of finish goods, packaging, raw materials and might impact on out of spec results in the Plant, with further recommendations;
Audit management
• Full Audit Governance and Compliance: lead internal audits, housekeeping checks, GMP programs to ensure compliance to CCHBC and TCCC procedures. Leads GMP and Food Safety Programs.
• Close out Audit findings on timely manner and work on compliance gaps.
Laboratory management
• Ensures proper set up of laboratory work organization incl. entire team activities to ensure continuity and reliability of tests and results;
• Ensures resourcing, stock management and cost control of QA laboratory
• Ensure proper, calibrated and available laboratory equipment, apply for new equipment and lab tools on Capex/Opex to be the best acquisition. Ensure new equipment introduction and validation to be done without standard ¬process interruption incl. effective and timely people training. Standardize the new solutions introduced in laboratory when new analysis methods are required.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs, share best practices and adopt new ones from other country/group plant laboratories.
People management and development:
• Ensures safety of the team members in their working environment

• Continues building people capabilities through established programs (Quality Academy program, Sensory training & Micro Academy program).
• Ensure direct team development; establish and ensure induction plan and smoothly knowledge transfer for new lab employees; Evaluates skills and abilities and identify training needs; Identify talents and ensure proper IDP, build succession pipeline including development of own deputy/successor;
• Leads the preparation and execution of QFS trainings for all plant employees.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
• Formal education: University degree (Food Technologies, Chemistry Engineering or Biology)
• At least 5 years' experience in Quality/ Manufacturing (including plant and people management) as Quality manager
•
Background in Food&Beverage business is mandatory
• Advanced English
• Excellent knowledge of CCHBC / TCCC product and package quality
• Must know how to implement and improve TCCQS, ISO 9001:2000, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001
• Good knowledge on all relevant local and EU lows and regulations
• Quality systems management ISO, HACCP, TCCC quality system, IMCR)
• Lean Manufacturing Experience is a plus
• Beverage / Juice / Water manufacturing E2E process
• Advanced Quality and Food safety knowledge (including microbiology)
