You will master CAD software to create 2D/3D piping layouts, isometric drawings, and equipment arrangements, work with multidisciplinary teams, design compliant piping systems, perform clash detection, and contribute to live projects. You will gain hands-on experience transforming process requirements into practical, efficient designs for Veolia’s infrastructure projects globally.Day-to-Day Duties and LearningsDevelop 2D/3D piping layouts and isometric drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD Plant, E3D, Navisworks)Design piping systems including routing, supports, and equipment arrangements while considering stress, thermal expansion, and flexibilityCreate and modify P&IDs, plot plans, and equipment layouts with process and mechanical engineersPerform clash detection and resolve spatial conflicts to ensure constructabilityEnsure designs comply with industry standards including ASME, API, and ISO codesParticipate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and prepare technical documentation including material take-offsConduct vendor drawing reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesLead small design packages independently as you progress, presenting designs and incorporating feedback from senior engineersQualificationsIdeal Skills and Experience:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related field) – essentialBasic knowledge of piping design principles and plant layout – desirableFamiliarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD Plant, E3D, or Navisworks – desirableFluent in English and Italian; other European languages are usefulStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Google Workspace or similar platformsWillingness to travelAdditional InformationAs an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and gives equal consideration to all applications, without discrimination.
