Our private client is seeking an exceptional, professional Day Nurse Aid/Caregiver/Housekeeper to provide support for a mature lady in her 90s located in Monaco/Beausoleil area.
Working Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, with weekend ½ days or full days on a needed basis, as it is not a constant requirement.
Monthly salary €2600 subject to experience and skills set.
Contract Type: Self-Employed. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax and social security contributions.
The ideal candidate will provide dedicated, one-on-one care and friendly companionship to our client within her own home. We are seeking a compassionate, emotionally intelligent professional who can seamlessly balance expert clinical monitoring with a deep respect for the client’s privacy and dignity. You will engage in daily interactive stimulation, such as reading and board games, ensuring the client feels consistently supported, stimulated, and respected.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1-on-1 Companionship & Engagement
· Meaningful Interaction: Act as a friendly companion, engaging in daily conversation, reading, playing board games, and other mentally stimulating activities.
· Well-being & Respect: Foster a warm, supportive atmosphere ensuring the client feels comfortable and respected in her own home.
Personal Care & Mobility
· Daily Assistance: Assist with comprehensive personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming, while strictly preserving the client's dignity.
· Transfer Expertise: Provide confident mobility assistance, demonstrating proven expertise in safe patient transfers.
Clinical Monitoring
· Health Tracking: Conduct regular clinical monitoring, including blood pressure checks three (3) times daily.
· Reporting: Carefully monitor overall health and promptly report any changes or concerns to the designated family member.
Meal Service & Housekeeping
· Nutrition Support: Prepare breakfast (e.g., scrambled eggs and yoghurt). Heat and serve lunch and dinner, which are pre-prepared by the client's daughter. Adhere to all dietary requirements.
· Light Housekeeping: Maintain an immaculate environment by managing laundry, dusting, and mopping throughout the apartment.
Health, Safety & Environmental Integrity
· Safety Protocols: Maintain a safe environment for both the client and yourself; follow all safety procedures and report emergencies immediately.
· Environmental Hygiene: Ensure the home remains completely free of external contamination or health risks. The caregiver must maintain an exceptionally clean, hygienic, and professional personal lifestyle, ensuring no external household or personal issues impact the patient's vulnerable environment.
Critical Key Requirements
· Professional Expertise: Proven experience in private nursing, first aid, and mobility assistance (expert transfer skills are mandatory).
· Specialised Condition Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in managing early-stage vascular dementia and arthritis care.
· Personal Attributes: A gentle, compassionate, and patient nature combined with the ability to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality.
· Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in French is a distinct advantage.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Educational Background: A relevant Diploma in Nursing, Caregiving, or a recognised Nursing Assistant certification.
· Work Experience: Extensive experience in a similar one-on-one role, either within a premium private household or a clinical setting.
· Track Record: A proven history of maintaining the highest standards of personal and professional cleanliness, order, and protocol adherence
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
