We are seeking a qualified
Fortran Developer / Scientific Software Engineer
to support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineering calculation tools.
Key Responsibilities Analyze, develop, and test
Fortran-based calculation models
in accordance with physical laws and engineering specifications Translate technical inputs from
NPI and RQS design engineers
into structured computational logic Perform validation and verification of calculation results to ensure
accuracy and consistency Maintain and optimize existing
legacy codebases, improving performance and reliability Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technical improvements Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure
traceability and reproducibility Support integration and interoperability with tools developed in
C++ and VBA
Required Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline Proven experience in
Fortran programming Good knowledge of
C++ and/or VBA Solid understanding of: Numerical methods Scientific computing Physics-based modeling Experience in code testing, validation, and debugging of engineering calculations
Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial sectors such as: Aerospace Automotive Energy Industrial engineering Familiarity with
simulation environments
(e.g., FEM, CFD) Experience working with
legacy systems and code refactoring Knowledge of software validation and verification processes
