OverviewAmazon's International Seller Services (ISS) org is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team working on innovative products and tools to help 3P Sellers and Account Managers (AMs).
AMs help onboard sellers into Amazon and help them grow their business.
We are developing innovative products that leverage generative and agentic AI to transform workflows for Sellers and AMs.
Our aim is to help 3P Sellers in every aspect to help sellers improve selection, grow and expand their business worldwide.ResponsibilitiesYou will lead a team of software engineers, building Seller and AM tools and transformative solutions powered by cloud computing and generative AI.
This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of agentic AI and distributed systems, building new products and services from the ground up and enhancing existing tools.A day in the life: In a typical day, you will be working with a team of engineers working on a variety of products ranging from AI Assistant that automates workflows for AMs, creating billing solutions, managing various tasks and automation.
You will be working with Products Managers and AMs worldwide to create and execute a roadmap of compelling user experiences.
A closer partnership with other engineering teams and applied science team will be very critical.
You will be extremely curious about learning and incorporating the latest developments in generative AI to develop products that deliver agentic AI solutions.About the team: The team sits in Amazon's International Service Org that creates tools, products and agentic AI solutions for Account Managers worldwide.
The products will include a mix of solutions that are common across Sellers in multiple countries and solutions customized for Sellers in each country.Basic Qualifications3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of engineering experience8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experienceKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teamsExperience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyExperience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
