Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer supports and maintains DR and CR equipment, providing technical service and assistance on Agfa and third‑party products. The role is based at home with travel requirements.


Location

Home‑based (travelling involved).


Responsibilities

* Install and modify Agfa and third‑party products (DR and CR).
* Troubleshoot Agfa and third‑party products; repair and replace on‑site and remotely.
* Assist R&D and HQ in problem solving and risk analysis.
* Train the customers.
* Escalate problems to 2nd and 3rd tier support when necessary.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Agfa products.
* Assist internal and external customers (e.g. users, freelancers, colleagues across business areas, HQ) on‑site and remotely on technical questions and issues.
* Identify opportunities for upselling Agfa Services and Products and pass on upselling opportunities to sales as required.
* Manage return of equipment and parts in compliance with company procedures.


Qualifications

* University degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechatronics or a related field.
* At least 3 years of experience installing and maintaining medical devices and healthcare products, especially X‑ray/DR systems.
* Experience with networking and remote diagnosis software systems.
* Experience working safely with electromechanical systems.
* Project management skills are a plus.

* Excellent attention to detail, strong self‑motivation, effective communication with people, and willingness to travel for business on a daily basis.
* Ability to fault‑find basic electronics to component level and strong analytical skills.
* Good knowledge of X‑Ray/DR and Windows 7/10.
* Full driving licence.
* Languages: Italian (native speaker level) and English (at least B2 level); other languages are a plus.
