We are looking for a Process Improvement Specialist Intern to join our team in the CNC and Raw Processes Department at the Pederobba Plant.This role is designed for a candidate with a strong engineering mindset, a hands‐on approach, and a clear interest in technical process improvement, metrology, and manufacturing technologies.The intern will support improvement projects focused on dimensional measurement systems, as well as other initiatives related to metrology, CNC machining processes, and quality control optimisation.Main ResponsibilitiesAnalyze process and quality data to identify trends, deviations, root causes, and improvement opportunities within CNC and raw manufacturing processes.Support the development and optimisation of dimensional measurement methods, with a specific focus on digital, semi‐automatized measurement tools.Contribute to projects aimed at improving the accuracy, repeatability, efficiency, and objectivity of measurement and control activities.Collaborate on technical improvement initiatives involving metrology systems, CNC machines, and production quality controls.Collaborate with production supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams to address quality issues and implement practical technical solutions.Develop and maintain reports, analyses, and dashboards to monitor process performance and key quality indicators.Participate in cross‐functional activities related to continuous improvement, process standardisation, and technical innovation in the manufacturing area.Support the industrialisation of new models, contributing to the definition, validation, and optimisation of dimensional control methods and measurement processes in collaboration with the plant NPI team.Main RequirementsEducational background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical fields.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret process and quality data and translate findings into improvement actions.Interest in technical process improvement, with a hands‐on approach to metrology, dimensional controls, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for basic data handling and reporting activities.Strong problem‐solving mindset, with attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to technical activities.Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‐functional teams such as production, quality, maintenance, and NPI.Ability to work both independently and within a manufacturing environment characterised by multiple priorities and continuous improvement projects.What's In It For YouAccess to our cutting‐edge learning platform, Leonardo, and personalised development programmes to help you grow professionally and personally.Access to free canteen.Expense reimbursement.Access to special offers for employees on a vast range of eyewear, eye‐care products, and fashion apparel, so you can enjoy our world‐class brands firsthand.Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion CommitmentWe are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
