Since 1905, Hydro has turned natural resources into valuable products for people and businesses with focus on a safe and good workplace for our 32,000 employees in more than 140 locations. /ph3Position /h3pHydro Extrusion Italy, Ornago plant, is looking for a bPLANT CONTROLLER /b who will report directly to the Regional Controller South Europe. /ph3Areas of responsibility /h3ullibProduction Cost Control: /b monitor and analyze production costs to ensure they are aligned with the budget and forecast. /lilibBudgeting and Forecasting: /b support the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast, analyzing variances between actual results and planned figures. /lilibFinancial and Operational Reporting: /b prepare periodic reports on the company’s economic and financial performance, including profit margins, fixed and variable costs, and other key performance metrics. /lilibBusiness Performance Analysis: /b perform detailed analyses of various business processes (production, logistics, sales) to optimize performance and identify areas for improvement. /lilibInventory and Warehouse Management: /b monitor inventory flow, analyze warehouse costs, and optimize working capital. /lilibControl and Analysis of Production Plant Performance: /b analyze the operating costs of plants, with particular attention to efficiency and continuous improvement. /lilibSupport for Strategic Decisions: /b provide financial information and analysis to support the company’s strategic decisions. /lilibCompliance and Internal Controls: /b ensure the company adheres to accounting and tax regulations, as well as internal control policies. /li /ulh3Key Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in Economics /liliPrevious experience of at least 5 years in management control, preferably in industrial environments. /liliProven experience working cross-functionally with teams such as procurement, operations, and others. /liliExcellent written and spoken English /liliIn-depth knowledge of cost analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. /liliFamiliarity with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills. /liliAdvanced knowledge of Office Automation, Excel, PowerPoint package /liliGood understanding of accounting principles and both Italian and international tax regulations. /liliKnowledge of the accounting logic and IFRS accounting /liliAbility to analyze and synthesize data in a clear and understandable manner. /li /ulh3Personal Qualifications /h3ulliExcellent communication skills to effectively report and present financial data to leadership. /liliExcellent problem-solving, time management skills, and ability to work under pressure. /liliAbility to work in teams and interact with different business functions. /liliProactivity and ability to make informed decisions. /liliMindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation. /li /ulh3It offers /h3ulliExperience-appropriate framing /liliFull time /liliLevel/RAL to be assessed at selection stage /li /ulh3Location /h3pstrongNote: /strong Location: Ornago, IT. /ppLocation description: A job where you make a difference.
