Logistics Specialists reviews Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. /p pIf you would like to dive deep into the inventory consumption, control and accuracy, we’d like to meet you. Your work will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by being a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liLogistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of transportation, shipping and receiving as well as inventory control, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e server lifter). /li liCompleting manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing and arranging for of materials, handling incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents /li liLoad and unload large equipment utilizing pallet jacks /li liMaintain accountability of in-stock components as well as receive and process inbound shipments /li liAssist with ongoing requests to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations to support build and repair activities /li liWorking with the Logistics Manager, create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory locations and movement. /li liWorking closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately /li liWorking with Procurement teams to ensure that inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations. /li liRegular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high-level communicator. /li liSupport an environment that operates 24/7 /li liReceive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers /li liLoad and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles /li liHandle sensitive/classified client materials /li liWork with and/or around moving mechanical parts /li liOccasionally work is in an office environment /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 ul liPosition works in-person at a site location /li liData entry and resolving questions from peer organizations /li liMaintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and or excel spreadsheets and will create reports for internal and external customer and management as required. /li liEnsure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing /li liAssembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials /li liAssist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations /li liKeep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company /li liFrequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach /li liRegularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl /li liCoordinate body movements when using tools or equipment /li liReach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance /li liPush or pull heavy objects into position /li liWork in a noisy environment /li liStand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time /li liOccasionally be exposed to cold or hot weather /li liWork with or/or around moving mechanical parts /li liNoise level varies and can be loud /li liThis team will be working overtime as needed by the business /li liWillingness and demonstrated ability to work in the following physical conditions with reasonable accommodations: ul liPush or pull heavy objects into position /li liWork in a noisy environment /li liCommitment to a culture of safety /li liMust be able to shift priorities without friction /li /ul /li /ul h3About the team /h3 pAWS values diverse experiences.
