As an HR Assistant you will play a critical role in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships, often providing candidates with their first impression of Amazon.com. The HR Assistant team supports Amazon.com's most technical divisions including Digital Technologies, Web Services and the Infrastructure teams. The ideal person will work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moments notice, and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals. Responsibilities
Scheduling interviews and phone screens
Working directly with technical candidates and hiring managers
Arranging travel for visiting candidates
Updating candidate records in recruiting systems
Meeting candidates during on-site interviews
Keeping recruiters informed of candidate issues
Providing follow‑up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email
Tracking recruiting activities and providing candidate status reports to recruiters
Coordinating scheduling of post‑interview debrief meetings and providing debrief materials
Collaborating with recruiters to identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
Assisting in coordination of other recruiting activities as needed
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage candidate communications and scheduling through the recruitment process
Handle candidate inquiries via phone, email, and chat
Process and track cases in our service management system
Provide accurate information using standard operating procedures and documentation
Support candidates through their onboarding journey
Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates
Maintain accurate records and conduct quality checks

Basic Qualifications
English proficiency (B2/C1 level)
German proficiency (B2/C1 level)
Additional European language skills are advantageous (Czech, Polish, Spanish)
Preferred combination English & German
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic problem‑solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
