We are seeking a Project Operations Manager (POM) to work within the Vessel and Construction Operations Management (VECOP) department, operating from Saipem's offices worldwide.
MISSION:
* Plan, coordinate, and control offshore operations execution, ensuring compliance with client requirements, timelines, budgets, and HSE standards.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the Project Management Team and the Offshore Construction Manager, overseeing preparations and interfaces related to offshore installation and transportation.
* Protect Saipem's interests within the scope of responsibilities.
* Manage offshore operations by leading the Saipem Vessel Offshore Construction Manager and subcontractors.
* Provide engineering reviews and operational advice to support project and tender objectives.
TASKS:
* Represent Saipem with offshore clients and subcontractors, managing contractual aspects.
* Develop offshore project strategies and scope of work, coordinating with the Project Manager for validation.
* Contribute to project planning and scheduling, optimizing installation sequences and work plans.
* Support negotiations with clients on pricing, technical, and contractual issues, including variation orders.
* Review and ensure the adequacy of installation procedures for operational efficiency.
* Monitor offshore installation and transportation costs and schedules, aiming for improvements.
* Coordinate vessel manning with relevant departments to ensure qualified personnel mobilization.
* Act as the focal point for vessel modifications, reviewing budgets and change orders.
* Ensure vessel productivity and gather lessons learned for continuous improvement.
* Lead subcontracting activities related to installation, survey, ROV, diving, and pre-commissioning services.
* Manage subcontracting and chartering activities for transportation and logistics vessels.
* Coordinate with procurement and fabrication departments for the delivery and transportation of offshore structures.
* Develop and implement yard fabrication strategies in collaboration with the Fabrication Manager.
* Organize project operations kick-off meetings and provide technical support during bid activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Preferably civil, mechanical, or naval engineering background.
* At least 12 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
* Minimum of 5 years in roles such as installation manager, operations manager, or project manager.
* Willingness to travel worldwide.
